The World War II Foundation is one of the world’s leading non-profit organizations committed to educating future generations about the personal stories of the WWII generation. The World War II Foundation accomplishes this mission through the production of award-winning documentary films, which are donated to American Public Television for airing on PBS affiliates and networks around the United States and globally.
The WWII Foundation has produced 22 educational documentary films to date, which rank in the top-5 of most requested programs nationally by PBS stations. The World War II Foundation has won 5 regional Emmy Awards for its work, as well as 3 Indie International Film-Fest Awards and a National Programming Excellence Award from American Public Television.
